Ava Lou's Birthday

School was officially out and our plan was to leave 5 days later for our much anticipated Christmas Break at the Crosby household. We couldn't stand it though and left the next day! We attended a few family christmas parties then Denim headed back home for a few days of work while me and the kids spent some quality time with Da(grandma), playing, shopping, and catching up. A few days later I noticed the "first" wave of sickness coming in, hitting Crosby and my little bro Kellen:( By christmas all of our kids were "hit" with a fever and it was all downhill from there. This sickness hit EVERYONE, no one was spared. Some had fever, some had coughs, some threw up, some were stuffed up and some had it ALL. It stayed this way until the day we left (10 days later). The worst was seeing our little niece Claire, only 17 months, suffer through and her poor parents. Luckily we were all good sports and still found ways to have fun. We played a lot of games, had some "girl time" shopping and eating lunch, watched movies and some home videos, brought in the New Year, and celebrated Ava's 5th birthday!
We planned to go bowling, but couldn't muster up the energy, luckily the sickness was leaving the kids and hadn't quite gotten my mom so she took them to see Tangled. When they came home we had pork tacos and Tangled cupcakes and icecream, followed by the presents!

My sister Callie once called Ava a "pixie" and if you know our "Lewski" you would totally agree. She can be sweet and she can be a little fire ball. We love this girl!

This is what we got Ava...a Pinkalicious bike. She loves the Pinkalicious books so this was a hit. Before we gave it to her Denim had to hurry and get the training wheels off. She learned to ride without them this summer and she somehow thinks that means that you no longer call it a bike, you call it a bicycle and since she asked for a bicycle for her birthday the training wheels needed to come off:)

Is it too late?

Is it too late to finally blog about Thanksgiving? I hope not, because this blog counts as my journal and scrapbooking all in one!

We spent Thanksgiving in Springville with the whole Lyman clan this year. We had a great time playing games, swimming(some of us:), and eating. Even though we were able to spend a whole week together we're always surprised at how quickly it's over. Just after we finished our Thanksgiving Feast.

I just had to put this one in of Ava because a lot of this went on this week. Ava is actually a very content person unless things aren't going her way. When they don't...this is what you will see! Followed with "Hmm! I don't like this day!" Love you Ava. Don't be mad at me for put this on for everyone to see:)

Brooklyn is 7!

We celebrated Brooklyn's 7th birthday this September. I can't believe it! Time is just flying by and all of the sudden this little girl isn't so little anymore! We did a friend party the day before her birthday. It was so much fun watching all of these cute girls. They sang their hearts out to Disney's Wii Sing It! and played outside games like Red Rover, What Time is it Mr. Fox, and relay races. Then they came in for presents and cupcakes.

The next day(her actual birthday) we did't do much. Denim was out of town for the week and we decided that we would all wait to celebrate with the whole family that weekend. It was still a celebration though, with meal favorites and plenty of phone calls:)

On the weekend we met up with Denim and more for a fun day at Trafalga and cake and icecream at the house.

Brooklyn Facts:

She loves Littlest Pet Shops, American Girl books, getting new clothes, writing songs, singing and dancing, gymnastics, and soccer.

She loves her family. She told me the other day "Mom, I am the luckiest girl in the world! I have the best family! The best brother and sister, the best mom and dad, and the best grandpas and grandmas, aunts. uncles, and cousins too!"

She loves school!

She loves playing with friends.

She is sweet and sensitive. She never wants to hurt anyones feelings and always tries to include everybody.

We love this girl!

Ava's 1st Day!

Ava started preschool this week! It has been a long three weeks since Brooklyn started and Ava has been bored! One day she was up in the playroom bawling. I asked her what was wrong on she bawled out "I miss Brooklyn!". I'm so glad it's her turn. She loves her class and her teacher. On the first day her teacher told her that they will have 100 days of school. Ava told me later and said that she is really glad they still have so many days left:)

1st day of school

I can't believe school is already starting again! Brooklyn had her first day of 1st grade, that means a FULL day of school! She is way excited and I think her teacher is great. I can't help but worry just a little. I'm going to miss my sweet girl. Everybody better be nice to her!

My Little Cowboy

Crosby was able to spend the whole day with his Grandma Da and Papa. He had so much fun a got spoiled just a little:) When we came to pick him up this is how he looked...

My little cowboy! He loves everything but especially his boots. He wants to wear them eveywhere! He keeps talking about going to "work" with his gloves. I'm sure he'll be a big help!
