We decided to make the long 5 1/2 hour drive to Blanding this year for the 4th. Most of us haven't been back to visit since we moved and thought it was the perfect opportunity to go. Granny Jo, Grandpa, Colin, Kelly and kids, and Chris joined us as well! We were able to visit with friends and lots of family. The girls were in heaven with cousins and friends of their own too.

When the water comes the kids run out to get wet and the adults run and hide!
Brooklyn and Paizlee, cousins and close friends. When they saw eachother they ran up and gave eachother a big hug.
In the evening we made our way over to the park for some music and fireworks.

We also spent a day at the cabin. Had some good food, played a lot of horse shoes and an intense game of Mad Gab(probably another one that should be banned), and hiked to the pond.

Something about the outdoors puts Brooklyn into a world of her own:) She reminds me a lot of my little sister when she was a kid.

This is where Ava spent 99.9% of her time. She had this rope swing mastered. Here she is showing off with one hand! I noticed that I didn't have any pictures of Cros at the cabin then realized he was never in the same spot for more than a few seconds! Boys!

Gosh, I'm seriously jealous that you guys were able to spend the 4th in Blanding. I haven't been there for 2 years now but I've vowed to be there next year! We spend our 4th in doors with Roman this year.:)
Looks like fun. And by the way, you will definitely hate the Cedar parades. In addition to MUCH less candy, you get firetrucks and pick-up trucks. That's it. Oh, Cedar, how did you let Blanding outdo you?
